The program

How the Jewish Executive Network works.

A free semester-long program built around relationships rather than lectures.

Week one

A student and an executive seated together, the executive giving a thumbs up

Six events

The format.

The Networking Accelerator runs throughout the semester and is built around six exclusive networking events, held on Sunday and Tuesday evenings and on weekends to fit your class schedule.

Students are required to attend five of the six events.

Each event is structured as high-impact speed networking. If ten students take part, we aim to bring in ten accomplished executives. You have a focused ten-minute one-on-one conversation with each of them before rotating, so by the end of a single evening you have personally spoken with ten executives.

By the end of the semester, every student will have built a personal relationship with more than 60 executives.

$500

How the stipend works.

The program is free. To earn the $500 stipend you attend five of the six events and complete the capstone.

The capstone — all three

  1. 01Connect with all of the executives on LinkedIn.
  2. 02Be paired with your own personal executive mentor.
  3. 03Write a paper on one executive, and how Jewish values have helped them succeed.

Students who complete the capstone are also given priority placement for summer internships through our executive network.

What the experience is like

What happens at an event

Small-group conversations rather than a career fair. You share meals, hear executives tell their real career stories, ask the questions you actually care about, and leave with introductions and follow-ups.

What a Shabbaton is

Two of the six gatherings are Shabbatons: a warm, immersive Shabbat weekend hosted in a welcoming community. No background or level of observance is required. Come as you are.

Eligibility

Who the program is for.

  • Students in the New York area, especially NYU, Hunter, Baruch, FIT, The New School, Parsons and John Jay.
  • We welcome young professionals as well.
  • No minimum GPA and no perfect resume required. We look for genuine ambition and openness.
  • No prior background or level of religious observance required.

Next step
